The neighborhood of I'On located in Mount Pleasant consists of homes designed to mimic the traditional Charleston single homes you'd see in Downtown Charleston homes for sale. A total of 762 single-family homes are grouped together at a little less than 4 units per acre.

I'On is a mixed-use community that features extensive walkways, public green spaces, lakes, and trails. A commercial area known as I'On Square is located at the entrance to the community featuring shops, businesses, and restaurants. The I'On Club offers tennis, pools, a gym, and a restaurant.

The community houses the East Cooper Montessori Charter School, but I'On is also zoned for James B. Edwards Elementary, Moultrie Middle School, and Lucy Beckham High School.
